42 years of marriage, 3 children, 6 grandchildren, 3 dogs, 2 retail stores, over 17,000 sq.ft. of vendor space, and 100 independent vendors – to say the least Beverly and Will Sellars are just a bit busy.

Born in Eastern Kentucky, Beverly’s natural southern charm is seen throughout both stores. Originally, she made her own jewelry and had a simple 2×4 space in the Farragut location of Homespun. She started working one day a week behind the counter. A few years in, the current owner decided to sell, and Beverly’s entrepreneurial spirit kicked in.

Five years later, Will who is originally from Florida, was itching to start his own business. In the early years of retirement after 30 years in the Tech Sales industry, he loved the idea of working for himself and being his own boss. While exploring options, Bev suggested they stick with what they knew and open a second Homespun in Maryville.

Little did he know that being his own boss would go out the window, as he provides the muscle to Boss Bev’s dream:

Her dream is two-fold. First, providing a place where people can start their own business without all the terrible overhead and scary red tape. And, a perfect space for collectors with a passion for sharing and selling their magical and vintage finds.

And, secondly, giving customers a happy place! A place to shop, but also a place of respite, joy and beauty.

Both stores are unique in their own right.

Maryville

Maryville feels like home with a log cabin warmth as it resides in a 100-year-old lumberyard building.

Farragut

Farragut feels like family after 32 years of business, the people, customers, and vendors are like long-lost friends stopping in to visit for a while.
