Homespun in Maryville opened in the Old Cherokee Lumber Company building in 2014. This nostalgic building with its different angles, beams, and open structural layout is a must-see. A tall, once lumber-filled building, it offers a perfect home for the wonderful vintage and country primitives, antiques and home decor.

Blast from the Past
Original Cherokee Lumber site showing current Homespun building and upper lumberyard area. The Southern Railway had subsidiaries that operated the railroads in Blount County. The Knoxville and Augusta came from Knoxville to Maryville and then to Walland. Along the right side of Sevierville Road just before the Maryville Little League Park is a trestle over Brown’s Creek. This was the line to Walland. From Walland to Townsend and on into the National Park.
